Mothers Day Out

PURPOSE:
The BCUMC Mother’s Day Out (MDO) is designed primarily for children between the ages of 2 and 4 (and 5 year olds not making the kinder-garten cut-off). Our program offers well planned activities for pre-school age children. The children will experience playing and learning together in a loving Christian atmosphere.

ENROLLMENT:
For every session, an application must be completed and a non-refundable registration fee of $100.00 must be paid for each child attending in order to hold his/her spot in class. Enrollment begins in the Spring for the next school year’s session, which starts Tuesday after Labor Day. Orientation for parents is always the Thursday before Labor Day.

PROGRAM SESSION AND TIMES:
MDO meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:45 AM to 2:05 PM. Our session begins in September and ends in May, generally following the Plaquemines Parish public school calendar for holidays.

PUNCTUALITY:
Punctuality is important to both your child and our teachers. Please arrive as close to opening time as possible. The doors will remain locked until 8:45 AM. The teachers arrive early and need those few important minutes to organize the activities of the day. Of course, if your child needs to use the restroom you will be allowed in; however, you are still responsible for you child until 8:45 AM. In addition, no child will be accepted after 9:30 AM. It is too disruptive to the other children in the class.

Always, please be sure to sign your child in.

If you would like more information regarding MDO and also the costs, you can call Shelly Jones, MDO Director, at 504.394.1976 (mailbox 3).
